Friends and family are always welcome to work too!

We will be holding the Children’s and Adult/Home Décor Sale at the same time! This means you will get to shop for adult items at the same time as shopping for the children’s items. You have 3 weeks of dates to choose your shifts from and a choice of either 3pm – 7pm or 5pm – 9pm on Aug. 1st for your sorting shift. Please note that a sorting shift is mandatory for everyone who shops early, even the “last minute” people! And don’t forget, we are often in need of “manpower”, so bring your husband or teen son with you to work one of your shifts. If you have a conflict with sorting, please contact Russie for additional options, such as sending a substitute or making your hours up on other days.
We have some 40 hours worker shifts that have opened up. This shift is for those people who can commit to working 40 hours plus the mandatory sort. You get the choice of $300 gift certificate and shop at 3:00pm on the 23rd or forgo the gift certificate to be able to shop before the workers at 10am on July 23rd.You will also shop ½ price on Friday, July 31st.You will have to decide which option you want prior to the sale. If you don't fulfill your commitment, you will loose the option you picked. There are a limited number of spots available, so please contact us quickly if you would like to do this.
It’s back...the Worker Rewards! Everyone who works 3 three shifts on-site and sorts gets a $50 gift certificate to use at the next sale and will also be eligible for the Grand prize drawing of a cash refund of your purchase, good up to $300. Everyone who works 2 shifts will be eligible for the drawing of three $50 gift certificates and everyone who works 1 shift will be eligible for the drawing of three $25 gift certificates.
For this sale only! Anyone who works at least 2 shifts on site can come back on Sunday, Aug. 2 from 2:30pm – 3:30pm and shop our "bag sale." In the past, we've sold our donated children's clothing during the Home Decor sale, with proceeds going to our charities. Since we can't do that this time, we are doing a similar version to that during the Blessing Closet, open by invitation only and proceeds will again go to charity. No bagging this time, all clothing and shoes will be $1 and everything else will be 1/2 off the full price listed on the price tag. There will be great deals, so email Russie now-- russie@comcast.net.
To shop early and receive all the benefits of a volunteer worker, you must commit to and follow through with one of the following:
* In order to shop at the earliest time - 3:00pm on July 23 – choose 3 six-hour shifts and one sorting shift
* In order to shop at the second time - 5:00pm on July 23 – choose 2 six-hour shifts and one sorting shift
* In order to shop at the third time – 7:00pm on July 23 – choose 1 six-hour shift and one sorting shift
We also have a few 4 hour shifts available on Fri. July 24, Sat. July 25 and Sun. July 26. Contact Russie asap to reserve a time. The early shopping time for this shift is Friday, July 24 at 2pm.
As long as you get your job done, you will keep your place on our workers list. It will be important for you to be ready to work at the chosen time, so if you want to look around, please come early. If you are working on a drop-off day and want to drop off your own items the same day you are working, please plan to drop-off after your shift is over. (Don’t forget to check in!)
What you can expect Fun - We have wonderful workers you will love getting to know. Accomplishment - We are busy from the moment we arrive until the day is done. Benefits - Shop early for the best selection and cost, with 30 workers instead of hundreds of consignors. Drop off your items when you work (if you work on drop off!) Pick-up on mandatory sorting day, no driving back to pick up on Sunday. Half Price Shopping workers get to shop the afternoon before half price day.
What we expect Flexibility - There are many aspects to pulling this sale together, and we need workers who are open to doing everything from sweeping to tagging. Responsibility - Because this is a volunteer effort, we rely MORE on your help, not less. You are expected to work your scheduled shift having arrived early enough to be ready to go when your shift starts. It hurts us and everyone you work with if you fail in your commitment to show up at your appointed time or to give 100% effort while working.
Shopping Etiquette You may come at noon on Monday July 20th to browse, if desired. Children will only be allowed from 3 - 7pm that day, and must be at your side at all times. At 7pm, all children must leave, but browsing may be continued if needed. At workers shopping time on Thursday, only the actual workers may come in. Spouses or older children must work their own shifts to preshop. There is no browsing that day and no one is allowed in early because we will draw number ten minutes before each shopping time and you will enter in the order of numbers drawn. New This Sale: All workers must have passes to get into the worker shopping time. The passes will be available at the door with your name on it 15 minutes before your shopping time.
Important Tips: The shifts will be filled by first come, first served, so email Russie ASAP at russie@comcast.net . We also barter your services for early shopping, so let us know if you have something to barter. Check our bartering list on our website.
Please let us know if you have a health condition that might prevent you from doing certain jobs, such as pregnancy, bad back, etc.
If you have to cancel for any reason, please try to find someone to take your place (they can preshop for the shifts worked). Call us immediately if you can’t find a replacement so we can fill your spot.
Bring any food (finger foods so you can continue to work while you snack)or drink you might need during your shifts. Dress in work clothes.
